Divorce as whole is very stressful, actually the second most stressful life event according to the Holmes and Rahe scale. There are certain events during a divorce that can be particularly triggering: telling your spouse, telling your children, attending meetings with lawyers, court hearings or even family mediation. That is why having effective techniques to manage the stress is so important.

To share some information and tips on how to prepare for these stress-inducing situations, I have invited Corinne Guion. Corinne is a sophrologist, and she works with individuals to help them build resilience and deal optimally with whatever challenge they are facing. Corinne uses simple physical and mental techniques, easy to learn, and once the client has practiced them with her, they can use them in their own time, in any setting, and at any relevant point during their divorce process.

* What exactly is sophrology?

* What type of challenges do your clients typically face (anxiety, depression, overwhelm…)?

* How would you support somebody going through divorce who is particularly anxious about attending court hearings, mediation sessions or solicitor meetings?

* Are there any practical tips you can share for those who are struggling to co-parent with their ex and feel a lot of anger and stress in that communication?

* Can sophrology help people with rebuilding their self-confidence and sense of self after divorce?
